We believe

All children in China have a right to survive, thrive and fulfil their potential.

What we do

UNICEF defends and promotes the rights and wellbeing of more than 298 million children across China. Since 1979, we have worked in partnership with the Government of China in education, water and sanitation, child health and nutrition, and child protection for those who are most in need. UNICEF also provides humanitarian assistance during emergencies.

How we do it

Our approach begins with gathering data and research. We work with the Government of China to carry out innovative projects to improve children’s lives. The results of these projects inform national policies, legislation and guidelines so children come first. This helps improve the lives of millions of children across China.
