UNICEF, the Ministry of Education and the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention are launching this campaign to provide practical ideas for everyone to help children return to school safely.
Good hygiene practices, maintaining social distance, and monitoring for symptoms are all important measures that need to continue. We also need to make sure that children are not stigmatized if they or their family members have been sick, or if they have travelled to affected areas. All children should be able to return to a safe and supportive environment.
These messages and tips for students, teachers and parents will be distributed in video and poster formats to schools across the country. You can help. We encourage everyone to share the videos and posters with family members, friends, colleagues, and of course the children in their life.
All of us – children of all ages, friends, parents, caregivers and teachers – have a role to play in making the return to school healthy, safe, and smooth.
