Significant levels of investment in the creation of different models of participation have been committed over the past 30 years. This has given rise to a considerable body of experience in the elements that contribute to effective and meaningful participation and the forms that it can take. The following elements can be understood as a useful guide to understanding the conditions necessary to ensure the realisation of adolescents’ participation rights:
