Siqi’s family reunited only 6 months ago. He hasn’t seen much of his father since he was a year old as his father left home and worked in Wen Ling.
“Now I can have dinner with both mama and papa every night !”
“I left my elder son (for the job) when he was only 5, we haven’t lived together since then. He is now 18 years’ old. I don’t want to leave Siqi behind again.”

10-year-old Xiaoying comes from Yunnan Province. She comes from Naxi ethnic group and only arrived 6 months ago. Her parents, working in a car parts factory, think teachers in Wen Ling are “more attentive”.

Zheng Yang, 9-year-old, comes from Sichuan Province. His father is a carpenter, the ground-floor room where the family lives has six chairs made of different materials, including one made of white marble.

Ten year old Xiaokai is from Shaanxi Province. His favourite subject in school is Chinese literature.
